Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the SAFE Discord bot ("SAFE", "the Bot", "we", "us") and this website collect, use, and protect information. By adding the Bot to a server or using it, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

SAFE only collects the data it needs to provide its features. This includes:

• Discord identifiers — server (guild) IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, user IDs, and usernames.
• Configuration — the settings you choose through /setup (log channels, staff ranks, ticket types, and module options).
• Moderation records — cases created by moderation actions, including the target, the responsible moderator, the action, the reason, and timestamps.
• Reports — when a member reports a message, the reported message's content, attachment links, author, the reporter, and the reason provided.
• Tickets — messages sent inside a ticket channel, which are compiled into a transcript when the ticket is closed.
• Incidents & appeals — incident details and the answers a user submits through an appeal form.
• Premium — license keys and which server redeemed them.
• Audit logs — depending on a server's settings, records of edited or deleted messages, member/role/channel changes, and moderation actions.

2. Message content

To provide message reports, edited/deleted-message logging, and ticket transcripts, SAFE processes Discord message content. Message content is only stored where a feature requires it — for example, a reported message, an audit-log entry, or a ticket transcript — and is used solely to deliver those features to the server's staff.

3. How we use information

We use the information only to operate the Bot's features for the server that configured it. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored in a database hosted on our infrastructure provider. We take reasonable technical measures to protect it. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties except: (a) infrastructure and hosting providers that store data on our behalf so the Bot can run; and (b) where required by law. Data created within a server (such as reports, cases, and transcripts) is, by design, visible to that server's staff through the Bot.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service. Removing the Bot from your server stops further processing. To request deletion of data associated with your server or your account, contact us at support@safe-discord.xyz and we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Children

SAFE operates on Discord, which requires users to be at least 13 years old (or older where local law requires). The Bot is not directed at children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
